Wine
Our guest April Clobes introduced us to one of her favorite wineries, Big Table Farm. Big Table Farm is a winery in Oregon that was self-started by a couple with a passion for wine. Their farm focuses on sustainability and keeping its operations in-house and its owner, Clare Carver, even illustrates each of the bottle labels. April's recommendation is their Pinot Noir, which brings a sweet, fruity, and cedar-driven flavor. If you're a wine drinker, we can't recommend this enough.
Mezcal
Mezcal-lovers will rejoice, and the uninitiated are in for a wonderful first impression. All parts of this cocktail play beautifully together — there’s smoky, sweet, sour, and bitter. Our Naked & Famous can be enjoyed by anyone above the drinking limit, even if you’re clothed and obscure.
Tequila
Look no further for excitement than the Verbena. Its X-factor ingredient, the Szechuan button, is a tiny flower with palate-altering powers. It creates numbing, tingling sensations on the tongue, and changes the way we taste flavors. Sometimes, all you need is a change of perspective.
Mocktail
Spring has sprung and the weather is warming. Our Llama Palama mocktail is a tasty, green tea-based drink that will ease your transition from the winter chill into a light, breezy mindset. Between the mint leaves and lime juice, you’re in for a fresh flavor with an exciting tart.
Mocktail
Pineapple and chamomile tea are not your usual co-conspirators, in flavor or philosophy. The golden fruit is acidic and tart, containing flesh-eating enzymes. On the other hand, chamomile is a calming herb historically used as a remedy for inflammation and gastrointestinal ailments. But together, in our Pineapple Chamomile Lemonade, they coalesce into a surprisingly well-balanced mocktail.

Wine
If you're looking for the perfect cocktail to help you unwind this fall, we've got the drink for you. The Nouveau Sangaree is a smooth, light drink that brings an autumnal twist to the classic sangria. Wine, apple brandy, and gin create a dry, strong base. Finished with grated cinnamon spices up the cocktail. Strain it all in a martini glass, curl up with a blanket and a good book, and enjoy this perfectly seasonal sangria.
Whiskey
Created under pressure, "This Is Ourselves" is the perfect match for this episode. This cocktail was made by Carol Donovan who submitted it to AlcoholProfessor.com. With muddled fruit and champagne that is stored under pressure, this cocktail is a welcome reminder that some really, really good things can come from stressful, high-pressure situations. The drink is bourbon-forward and brings in a delightful, autumnal mix of apple cider, champagne, bitters, and a splash of simple syrup for a drink that goes down smooth. The cider is subtle, while the bubbly elevates the endnotes, giving the drink an overall light taste. Pour yourself a glass and consider the sweet rewards of working under pressure.
Whiskey
Going through some big changes? (Or maybe just a long week?) Take a minute to slow down, reflect, and pour yourself a glass of The Third Man. This bourbon drink is the perfect palette cleanser; it sips sweet at first, then is rounded out by the bitterness of grapefruit and Campari. With the bite from the bourbon topping off the citrus flavor, this drink will become a staple in your bartending repertoire. Grab your favorite bourbon (we used George Dickel) and mix in a splash of grapefruit juice, lemon juice, Campari, and simple syrup for a complex symphony of flavor.
Vodka
This week's drink can be a bit of a project to make, but it is so worth it in the end. The Green Smoothie Cocktail is a vodka cocktail full of fruit and veggies that makes a super delicious and clean drink. If you're looking for a cocktail that is a crisp and refreshing change of pace, this is the drink for you. With cucumber, fresh mint, and ginger, it is the definition of refreshing and the perfect way to top of a week (or year) of change.
Prosecco
'Tis the season to drink and be merry and we've got the perfect cocktail for you to do just that. This Cranberry Mimosa is just three ingredients and a delight to drink this holiday season. Mix together cranberry juice, champagne and ginger ale or ginger beer (whichever you prefer or have on hand is fine). Garnish with sugared cranberries and serve. For a mocktail version, substitute St. Julian's Sparkling White Juice for the champagne. Take a moment for yourself this holiday season to reflect on everything you accomplished this year. From our homes to yours, happy holidays!
