A Halfway Point Goal Check In
We’re just about halfway through the year and, if you’re anything like us, you set pretty big goals. Sometimes we achieve them, and other times we realize that we bit off more than we can chew. But mid-year is a good time to reflect on what is possible. At this point, we can rebuild and adjust our strategies — because, while some adaptations may be necessary, it’s not too late to achieve those goals. Join us as we set our course for the back half of the year.

How are we already nearing the back half of the year? This is the time of year when we look back on our goals and resolutions. Achieving your goals can be unpredictable, due to any number of distracting outside factors. However, the key is remembering that you can only change what is in your circle of control.

Falling off the goal track is inevitable, but reminding yourself why you set them in the first place can bring you back on track. Similar to adjusting your business and services over time, it will always be necessary to adjust your goals based on your variable needs. Our secret for overcoming roadblocks? Implementing a method to track your progress, and working backward to find a new path.

This episode, we revisit our own goals for 2023 and lay plans for carrying them out through the rest of the year. How do we stay on track and manage our aspirations? How do we separate our business goals from personal goals? Join us as we discuss.

Jalapeño Orange Spritzer

Jalapeño Orange Spritzer

Vodka
Jalapeño Orange Spritzer
The Jalapeño Orange Spritzer is like the perfect summer day: bright, with a little heat. This sunburst orange cocktail gets its heat from jalapeño infused vodka. The infused vodka works in harmony (not competition) with orange juice and soda water to create a cocktail worthy of your next summer celebration.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz. vodka
  • 12 oz. orange juice
  • 4 oz. soda water
  • 1 large jalapeño pepper, sliced. Reserve a few slices for garnish.

Preparation

  1. Slice jalapeño pepper. If you want to keep the pepper flavor without adding too much heat, remove the seeds.
  2. Pour vodka into a container and add the jalapeño slices. Let sit for one day. The longer you let the jalapeños infuse, the stronger the spice level will be.
  3. Add 2 oz. of the jalapeño-infused vodka, and 3 oz. of orange juice into a shaker with ice. Shake well.
  4. Pour into a glass and top off with club soda.
  5. Add a jalapeño slice to garnish.

Recognizing change can feel like a hopeless task sometimes because we're evaluating the changes in real time. But the bottom line—we must grow.
