Change + Growth

Growth
Change + Growth
Recognizing change can feel like a hopeless task sometimes because we're evaluating the changes in real time. But the bottom line—we must grow.

In small business, we know the only constant is change. Our industries, client needs, or internal resources and structures. They all are moving parts. Change isn't comfortable but in order to keep up you have to change and grow. The other important thing, growth has to come from within. When we were younger we had mentors. But now, as small business owners we have to look to ourselves to make the road map. How do you know when the time is right to make a change when you have no one to give you an answer? This episode we enjoy the most refreshing cocktail yet. You definitely want to check out our Watermelon and Cucumber Cocktail.

Watermelon and Cucumber Cocktail
This is the most refreshing cocktail we've ever had. Also, that color from muddling the watermelon makes the best pinkish sunset-like hue.

Ingredients

  • 4 oz Effen Cucumber Vodka
  • 4 (1-inch) cubes of seedless watermelon
  • 1 oz lime juice
  • 2 oz simple syrup

Preparation

  1. Combine vodka, watermelon cubes and lime juice in a cocktail shaker. Muddle all ingredients well. Add simple syrup, fill with ice, cover and shake until ice cold.
  2. Rim the glasses with a cut lime and dip in the lime rim mixture.
  3. Fill the glasses with ice and strain the ingredients from the shaker into the glasses.
  4. Garnish with a watermelon slice, a cucumber slice, and a mint sprig.
