Vodka
Basil meets a potpourri of unconventional fruits to make up this peculiar and exciting cocktail, Basilico. A basil cocktail is fitting for our episode on the 80/20 Rule—it's a strong herb where a little goes a long way. If you're not as big of a basil fan as we are, tone down the leaves and amp up the strawberries or other liqueurs to your liking. Fruits like peach and apple, which we don't often see in mixed drinks, are a welcome surprise any time of the year.
Mocktail
Zero Proof Swizzle may be a mocktail, but don't be fooled: This isn't your grandmother's fruity drink. A mix of fresh juices and tropical falernum mellow out with Fee Brothers walnut and peach bitters. The walnut bitters add a mature, smoky taste that whiskey Manhattan lovers will savor.

Rum
Looking for the perfect cider drink to round out your fall? Your quest is over. The Stone Fence is a delightfully simple rum and cider cocktail that delivers complexity without the fuss. While we don't typically consider cider to be a refreshing drink, the mint sprig adds an interesting twist that creates a crisp aftertaste. If our episode has you in the mood for a big change, try swapping out the mint for cloves and drinking this one warm.
Gin
Searching for the perfect cocktail for your post-stressful-afternoon-meeting debrief? Lady Boss is a sophisticated, sweet and simple concoction that blends Aviation Gin (our favorite), ginger beer, lime and simple syrup. Refreshing and crisp, this combination tastes like how coming up with a fresh, new idea at the end of a long brainstorm feels.

Whiskey
Smoky Nail brings a bit of a smoky aftertaste to the traditional Rusty Nail with Laphroaig Lore Single Malt Scotch Whisky. Starting with a spicy chili bite and finishing off with a sweet aftertaste, this drink is rich and classically peaty. Mix in a bit of Drambuie and lemon, and before you know it you'll be longing for a seat by the campfire on a crisp, fall night.

Gin
You simply can't go wrong with a simple gin punch. Bid the summer season farewell with a citrusy, sweet cocktail that works well in a big batch. Tanqueray No. 10 Gin is one of our favorites, as it's crafted in small batches using fresh citrus fruits. These citrus notes play well with grapefruit juice, lemonade and–another one of our favorites–lime LaCroix. If you're looking for a weekday drink, this recipe also makes a tasty mocktail, sans gin.
Vodka
Trying new things is always important–especially when it comes to cocktails. Inspired by our guest, Lis Weston, who had never tried a Cosmopolitan, this is a classic Cosmo recipe that balances sweetness, strength and citrus flavor all in one. Locally made American Fifth vodka and Cointreau orange liqueur come together with cranberry to create the ideal slow-sipping drink to share with friends.

Vodka
This drink is a heavy-hitter. The olive brine meshes nicely with the dry vermouth, delivering a strong dose of saltiness and flavor. It's a martini you drink after you've (metaphorically) climbed a mountain and can see how great it is from the top.
Tequila
Before you say "I'm not a tequila drinker," try Paloma. Refreshing with all the right notes of tequila and lime juice, this drink is an upscale version of the classic margarita. And the Himalayan sea salt around the rim adds a nice, rosy touch.
Bubbly
Summer's here and that means patio time. This pitcher perfect vermouth-filled cocktail is light enough to drink all day and strong enough that you won't know it until it's too late. Pour that second glass at your own risk.
