Balance
Owning a small business is a fulfilling challenge that we both love. Join us as we discuss the things we’ve learned over the years as entrepreneurs.
We both have over 20 years of experience as business leaders, and we’ve come to learn that entrepreneurship is just in our blood. We love the decision making, excitement, and growth that comes with running a small business, and we wouldn’t trade it for the world. That doesn’t mean it’s all roses, though.
This week we talk about all things small business: the good, the bad, and the ugly.

Whiskey
The Scofflaw is a classic bourbon cocktail that might surprise you. Its taste can only be described as that of those little strawberry candies that Grandma used to keep in a glass dish. Unlike those obscure sweets (because we’re still not sure where you can even buy them), this drink is well within reach for your next cocktail party. In fact, we’re going to tell you exactly how to make it.
Ingredients
- 1 oz bourbon
- 1 oz dry vermouth
- 1/2 oz lemon juice
- 1 - 2 tsp grenadine
- Dash of Angostura bitters
- Lemon twist to garnish
Preparation
- Chill a martini or coupe glass in the freezer. Alternatively, use a rocks glass (as pictured).
- Add everything to a cocktail shaker half filled with ice and shake hard for 30 seconds.
- Strain into your chilled cocktail glass or serve in a rocks glass with ice.
