A Little Gratitude Goes a Long Way

A Little Gratitude Goes a Long Way
Gratitude is a year-round necessity. It helps keep us balanced and thinking positively, so we can be better humans for ourselves and those around us. Adding a daily gratitude practice to our routine can be simple, yet remarkably impactful.

Tis the season for gratitude, but, in fact, it’s healthier to practice grateful thinking all year long. When we think about what’s missing, rather than what’s present, we invite anxiety, frustration, and bundles of other negative emotions to flood our minds. If you think about it, brains are like kindergarten classes: without some discipline, chaos will ensue and somebody is gonna end up in tears.

A daily gratitude practice, however simple, can significantly improve your outlook. Everyone’s practice looks different, whether it’s journaling or letter-writing or making mental notes on a morning walk.

Join us as we share what we’re thankful for, our own gratitude practices, and all the benefits that come from some good ol' fashioned grateful thinking.

Champagne Punch
Just like gratitude, champagne (or your bubbles of choice) need not only be reserved for the holidays. When you really feel like celebrating, whether it’s the fact you got dressed today or that the sun’s shining, give Champagne Punch a try. It’s got antioxidants — so it’s basically healthy — and it has bubbly — so it’s definitely delicious. No bad vibes or scurvy in sight.

Ingredients

  • Pomegranate juice
  • Orange juice
  • Orange flavored liqueur, such as Grand Marnier
  • Champagne, prosecco, or other sparkling wine
  • Orange slices
  • Pomegranate seeds
  • Fresh mint leaves

Preparation

  1. Make your ice cubes (freeze mint leaves and pomegranate seeds together).
  2. Mix the juices together and store in juice containers in the fridge until ready to serve.
  3. Slice the orange and seed the pomegranate.
  4. Combine all of the ingredients and serve on ice.
