Red Queen

Red Queen

Gin
A ruby red liquid in a coupe glass, garnished with cranberries.
The Red Queen is a regal cocktail that combines tart, fruity, and floral notes for a truly captivating sip. Cranberry juice provides a vibrant, ruby-red base with a hint of tanginess, perfectly complemented by Hendrick’s gin, known for its delicate infusion of botanicals. St. Germain adds a touch of sweetness, while a squeeze of fresh lemon juice balances the flavors with zesty brightness. Shaken over ice for a crisp, chilled finish, this drink is as striking in appearance as it is delightful in taste, making it perfect for toasting to 25 years of business.

Ingredients

  1. Fill your cocktail shaker with plenty of ice and add all the ingredients (apart from the fresh cranberries). Shake until a frost forms on the shaker, about 30 seconds.
  2. Taste your drink and make any adjustments.
  3. Pour into chilled martini or coupe glasses and garnish with the fresh cranberries.

Preparation

  • 120 ml ( ½ cup) cranberry juice
  • 80 ml ( ⅓ cup) Hendrick’s gin
  • 40 ml ( ⅛ cup) St. Germain elderflower liqueur
  • ½ lemon, juice only or to taste
  • Garnish with fresh cranberries threaded on cocktail sticks
