Saint Florent

Gin
Drink: Saint Florent

The Saint Florent is something like a fancy cross between an Aperol Spritz and a French 75. It’s a little sweet, a little bitter, and fairly potent thanks to the gin. Between its flavor and beautiful orange hue, this cocktail will surely impress at your next dinner party.

Ingredients

Saint Florent

  • 3 oz. gin
  • 1.5 oz fresh lime juice
  • 1 oz Aperol
  • 1 oz honey syrup
  • 2 dashes of Angostura bitters
  • Brut
  • Lime wheel for garnish

Honey Syrup

  • 1/4 cup clover honey
  • 2 tablespoon hot water in a small jar

Preparation

  1. First, make the honey syrup. Combine 1/4 cup clover honey and 2 tablespoon hot water in a small jar. Cover and shake to dissolve honey.
  2. Combine gin, fresh lime juice, Aperol, honey syrup, and 2 dashes of Angostura bitters in a cocktail shaker. Fill shaker with ice.
  3. Cover and shake for about 30 seconds. Strain into 2 chilled coupe glasses.
  4. Top off with bubbly and garnish each with a lime wheel.
