Take your classic Old Fashioned, but swap the simple syrup with maraschino liqueur. This sweet change adds a taste of earthiness which is the perfect twist for the autumn season. Not only does this drink taste like fall, but the stunning orange color matches the trees outside. Grab your bourbon and try something new.
Ingredients
- 2 oz. bourbon
- 1/2 oz. maraschino liqueur, such as Luxardo
- 2 dashes orange bitters
- 1 dash Angostura bitters
- An orange twist, to garnish
Preparation
- Place a large ice cube in an Old Fashioned glass. Add the bourbon, maraschino, orange bitters, and Angostura and stir until chilled, about 15 seconds. Garnish with orange twist and serve.
