Growth
Grief finds us all one way or another, and it ultimately touches our work. As employers, we have a responsibility to make the workplace hospitable and compassionate for our employees, especially in times of sorrow.
At some point in time, everyone experiences grief. That feeling of sorrow comes in all shapes and sizes, and it extends beyond losing a loved one. We grieve hopes, dreams, relationships, and more. As something so intrinsically linked to the human experience, it inevitably finds its way into the workplace. And that’s ok.
This week we discuss why we tend to avoid pain and how employers can better accommodate grieving employees.

Mocktail
Pineapple and chamomile tea are not your usual co-conspirators, in flavor or philosophy. The golden fruit is acidic and tart, containing flesh-eating enzymes. On the other hand, chamomile is a calming herb historically used as a remedy for inflammation and gastrointestinal ailments. But together, in our Pineapple Chamomile Lemonade, they coalesce into a surprisingly well-balanced mocktail.
